All About Neutrals

Shearling Jacket {similar} || White Long Sleeve Tee || Denim || Boots
Belt || Tassel Bag {similar}

This is probably one of my favorite looks that I wore while in Indiana. Lately, I have been all about the neutrals! To me, there is something so chic and effortless about a neutral toned look. You just look so put to together.

My favorite part about this look would have to be the Shearling lined jacket. It's light weight but very warm at the same time! Its nice not to have all the bulk when you're wearing a jacket all day. I wanted the jacket to be the focus, so I kept it simple with a basic white tee and pulled everything together with this belt. Like I said in my previous post, I am loving belts again!

Friday, I will be talking in more depth about our trip and some of the highlights! Make sure to stay tuned for that!

How to Style an Over-sized Sweater

Monday, January 23, 2017

Hey loves and happy Monday!
I am back from and incredible weekend in Fort Wayne, IN with some of my favorite ladies; Courtney, Morgan, Laura and Sarah. These ladies are all so inspiring and I am so thankful that blogging has brought us all together. I will be sharing all about our amazing trip later this week.

Today, I am talking about one of my favorite ways to style an over-sized sweater. I l-o-v-e a good over-sized sweater, I mean who doesn't? But, sometimes it can a bit tricky styling them. You don't want to look too frumpy. Pairing your chunky sweater with skinny jeans and booties can help you look more polished. Skinny jeans tucked into booties can help elongate your legs, giving you length on top of a bulky sweater.

Also, adding a belt and tucking the front of your sweater in can give depth to your look. Belts are certainly making their return and I am totally loving it! Just make sure when you buy your belt, you pay attention to the size (eye roll emoji). Before my trip I was in a hurry and I ran into Forever21 hunting for a belt. I found this one and for some reason just grabbed the one on top, not even thinking to check the size haha... Needless to say this one was a bit too big.

There are so many ways to style an over-sized sweater but this way is my favorite!

What to Wear on a Snow Day

Monday, January 9, 2017

Similar Jacket || Turtleneck || Leggings || CC Beanie (10% off w/ code BRITTANYB10)

Hey loves, happy Monday!
Over the weekend, North Carolina was hit with a huge snow storm! Unfortunately, where Ben and I live, we didn't get to see too much, like not even an inch. But, snow isn't something us Southerners see often, so I'll take any amount haha!

Honestly, I am not one that likes the cold, but there is something so magical about snow. It literally makes me light up inside like I'm 5 years old again. Ben and I had so much fun on our snow day. We walked Trooper (our dog) around and played in the snow with him for a bit. Then we went exploring through the woods and found this spot for photos, which ended up in a huge snowball fight!

To keep myself nice and toasty, I wore this outfit. I layered a thermal turtleneck under my puffer jacket and added a faux fur scarf for extra warmth. Paired with my favorite leggings and snow boots to keep my feet nice and cozy. Staying warm in the cold is all about light layers under bigger ones. I am so glad I got some practice this weekend because next week I am off on another adventure with some of my favorite blogger girls. We are going to Indiana and it's normally freezing there this time of year. Trying to figure out how to pack all my coats is going to be one crazy task haha!
More about this later!

Thank you for stopping by!
