Romper {similar} || Heels

This past weekend, as many of  you know, Ben proposed! We've been together for 7 years now and I cannot wait to marry my best friend. Today, I am going to tell you all how he asked me to marry him and at the end, you can watch our engagement video!

So, Friday was my 25th birthday and a while back while planning out what we were going to do for my birthday Ben asked to take over the whole day. I did something big for his 25 birthday back in November and I honestly thought that he was just doing the same for me.

When I woke up on Friday, I had the day off work and all I knew was that I was to meet Ben for lunch around 1 o'clock. Lunch was fun as usual, however, thinking back Ben did eat his lunch really fast haha! Anyways, after we finished lunch Ben had to go back to work and he told me that I was to go straight home. Specifically he said, "Brittany, go straight home. Seriously, no detours." I was a good girl and went straight home after lunch. It was killing me not be in control ha!

About ten minutes after I got home, my sister showed up! I thought, oh my goodness this is awesome! He got my little sister to come hangout with me during the day, I was so excited. Haley, (my sister), had a birthday bag and handed it to me saying this is what you're supposed to wear today, you have an hour to get ready! So, I go to get ready and unfortunately the dress that was picked out didn't fit and cue the anxiety. I was freaking out and I am so glad I bought this romper and few weeks ago because it worked out perfectly.

After I was ready, we get in my sister's car and of course I start asking questions. I asked her where we were going and she said that we were going to Blankeney shopping center and to not ask her anymore questions ha! Ben gave her some serious instructions! When we arrived at Blakeney, Haley told me Ben gave her money for me to go shopping. Whoop whoop! After shopping a bit, around 4:30 she said we had to wrap it up because we had a nail appointment at 4:45. I was so excicted because I was just bitching to Ben about how bad I needed to get my feet done. Once, our mani/pedi's were done, I started to get anxious because I didn't know what was coming next!

When we walk outside the nail salon a white stretch limo was pulling through the parking lot. I looked at my sister and was like stop it, that is NOT for me! So, Haley and I jump right on in and I was in my own little world. I thought that we were about to start picking up all my close friends. But, as we were headed back towards our house, we made a turn and started to head another direction. I was like, well maybe we are meeting a bunch of people somewhere.

Then, we pull into the Arboretum shopping center and pulled up to Mickey & Mooch. This is where Ben took me on our first date back in 2009 and we always go here on our anniversary. As, the limo stops, my heart is pounding and I see my little sister's boyfriend holding a video camera and my cousin started walking up to get me out the limo and at this point is where I knew..

I started tearing up and shaking immediately. Justice, (my cousin), grabbed all my shopping bags out of the car and started to walk me towards where Ben was. There is a walk way down to the pond and that is where Ben was standing all dressed up and handsome in a suit holding white roses. It felt like the longest walk in the entire world and I couldn't wait to see him. Then he said all his sweet words and asked me to be his bestfriend for the rest of his life. I of course said yes and was the happiest girl in the entire world. We had a whole audience and they were cheering so loud haha!

After he proposed we had dinner reservations at 7. We had some time before dinner, so we went inside to the Bar and had a drink and really just took in the moment together. Probably the most perfect day and I am the luckiest girl.

Below, you can watch our engagement. It's not a professional video or anything. But, it's ours and so sweet. Ben, bought a video camera and had my sister take pictures on my camera because he knew I wanted pictures and such. He really hit every little detail right on the head and I am so proud of him and everyone else in my family that helped out.

I hope you enjoy the video and I can't wait to take you all on this journey with us!
Ben if you're reading, I love you so incredibly much and I cannot wait to marry you!
